Greater Texas Chapter

The Greater Texas Chapter NAPNAP (GTX-NAPNAP) is a professional organization of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (PNPs) who work throughout Texas (excluding the areas of Austin, Houston, South Alamo and the Southwest region of Texas) in a myriad of settings. PNPs provide care from birth to twenty-one years of age; in hospitals, emergency rooms, in hospital intensive care units, private offices, and a variety of clinic settings. They may provide primary care, specialty care and intensive care for children throughout Texas.

The Mission of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners is to promote optimal health for children through leadership, practice, advocacy, education and research.

The Purpose of the Greater Texas Chapter of NAPNAP is to:

  • Promote and foster national NAPNAP issues in the greater Texas area
  • Develop and sponsor continuing education for healthcare providers in the pediatric population
  • Support and facilitate state and local programs to improve the quality of healthcare in pediatrics

Greater Texas Chapter of NAPNAP holds an educational dinner meeting quarterly.

The chapter supports several local agencies that provide care for children and families in need. Advocacy and outreach are provided on the chapter Facebook page, member email blasts, meeting updates, and the advocacy tab on the website.
