Welcome and thank you for visiting the website of the Los Angeles Chapter of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP-LA). NAPNAP-LA and its members are dedicated to improving the quality of health care for infants, children, adolescents, and their families.
As one of the largest NAPNAP chapters in the nation, NAPNAP-LA is a vibrant community of advanced practice nurses that provides a myriad of professional opportunities and experiences for its members. On our website you will find up-to-date information about pediatric clinical practice issues, continuing education, professional networking, legislative issues, opportunities for mentoring and advocacy, and so much more! If you would like to post information on the website please email our Website Chair, Veronica Torres, at vero3@aol.com.
NAPNAP-LA activities include the awarding of scholarships to PNP students who have demonstrated a commitment to excellence in pediatric health care, as well as the recognition of an outstanding NAPNAP-LA member and a non-member who supports the advanced practice nursing role. Throughout the year, NAPNAP-LA hosts educational events, such as educational dinners and an annual conference co-sponsored by the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. Additionally, there are many opportunities for NAPNAP-LA members to partner with local communities to impact pediatric health outcomes and improve the well-being of children and families. Please visit the News and Membership tabs for more information about these exciting opportunities.
We invite pediatric health care professionals and others who support our mission and goals to become involved with NAPNAP-LA. Feel free to contact us with your ideas and suggestions. We look forward to working together in 2010-2011 to meet the needs of our members and the children and families whom we serve.
Best wishes,
