Duties include: * Perform comprehensive history and physical assessment * Assess, diagnose, and develop a plan of care, prescribes treatment and evaluate the care of patients * Order and interpret primary diagnosis based on history, physical assessment and diagnostic findings * Communicate the plan of care for each patient to appropriate members of the multidisciplinary team * Perform appropriate procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients in the critical care setting Education Opportunities: * Serve as a clinical resource for other members of the multidisciplinary team * Attend and participate in departmental education opportunities Leadership Responsibilities * Membership on committees (hospital-wide) with physician colleagues to achieve specific outcome targets * Evaluates new patient care delivery systems, models of care, therapeutic and preventive interventions which target patient care issues not currently being addressed * Participates in various organization initiatives and CCM section committees Research Responsibilities Research Responsibilities * Relates evidence-based medicine to nursing practice to enhance patient care delivery and improve patient outcomes * Participate in nursing research This is a great opportunity for the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with experience in caring for children in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit to join the PICU/PCU and or CVICU team at this leading academic children’s hospital
