Bio

Hello to all. I received my undergraduate RN education at Delta State University in 2008.  I completed my MSN at University of South Alabama (USA) in 2016 and doctoral degree in 2018. I am currently employed as a PNP at Lebonheur Community Outreach at a school based clinic. Prior to this position I was  employed at Lebonheur Children's Hospital for 11 years. I have been involved in various QI projects and participated on several committees while employed at Lebonhuer. Additionally, I functioned as a cardiac kids camp nurse for 6 years while at Lebonheur. I have a love and passion for pediatric patients and working in the community.

While attending USA, I had the opportunity to attend two mission trips in Haiti and Dominican Republic. On these two mission trips I grew a love for global health. Thus my DNP project was implemented in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The Research from the project was published in the Journal of pediatric healthcare in 2019. I am looking forward to continually enhancing my knowledge in the field of nursing while bridging gaps in the community and global health.
