Bio

I have been a PNP since 2007. The decision to become a PNP was the best career decision I could have made. I started off working in pediatric surgery at a large university hospital in Shreveport, LA. After I left that position, my family relocated to Colorado courtesy of the US Air Force and I took some time off to be a stay-at-home mom. The USAF sent us back to Louisiana and I went back to work. I have been working as a primary care PNP since that time in the clinic setting. Currently, I teach full time at my alma mater Northwestern State University and coordinate the PNP program there. I completed my DNP in 2014 from the University of South Alabama so I teach in our new DNP program as well. I conduct my faculty practice at the local Air Force Base. I am passionate about caring for military children.

I am married to my wonderful husband, an active duty AF officer, and we have three kids: 9, 6, and 4. He will be retiring in the next 3 years and we are considering options of where we may want to settle down.
