Kristin Gigli, PhD, RN, CPNP-AC, CCRN


Bio

Kristin Hittle Gigli is an acute care pediatric nurse practitioner and health services researcher.  She is a post-doctoral scholar at the University of Pittsburgh in the Department of Critical Care Medicine CRISMA Center.  Her research examines the role of hospital-based advanced practice provider workforce in providing care and health outcomes of hospitalized children.  She earned her PhD in Nursing with a concentration in health services research from Vanderbilt University and her nurse practitioner degree from the University of Pennsylvania. In addition to her research, Kristin has 15 years of experience work in pediatric critical care and holds a clinical appointment at The Children’s Home in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  She is a past board member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and chair of the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Workforce Workgroup.  Kristin has presented at numerous conferences and authored publications on both clinical practice and professional issues in nursing.
