Student Liaison Scholarship


The Indiana Chapter chooses one motivated student to serve as a Student Liaison each year. Students can gain valuable leadership skills and experience while our chapter benefits from the unique perspectives that 
students can offer. If you are chosen, you will receive $1,500 to fund a trip to the Annual National NAPNAP Conference. Once you have served as a Student Liaison for a year, the awardee will assume a board position for the next two years.

Criteria: You MUST be in your LAST YEAR of the PNP program as you will then assume a board position. You must be in good standing in a accredited APP program. 

Application Process: Please submit a letter stating why you would like to assume this role and the abilities you would bring to the committee. A resume is required.

Indiana PNP of the Year


The Indiana Chapter of NAPNAP would like to honor our hardworking PNP's who are making contributions that have enhanced the care and health of children in Indiana. The impact of the contribution must be felt on the local level. The recipient will receive $250. 
 
Criteria: Required to be a member and in good standings with Indiana Chapter of NAPNAP.

Nomination Process: Please submit a narrative description (500 words or less) of the reasons the nominee should receive the award.

Linda Gilman PNP Student of the Year Scholarship


The Linda Gilman Distinguished Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Student Award is given in honor of Dr. Linda Gilman who, with Dr. Gabriel Rosenberg, started the PNP major at the Indiana University School of Nursing in 1971, in collaboration with Methodist Hospital. Dr. Gilman has served as President of NAPNAP, has received the Henry K. Silver award, and has served in several capacities at the local level, including Indiana Chapter President. The Linda Gilman Distinguished Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Award is awarded annually to a graduate nurse who best exemplifies a desire to contribute to the improvement in pediatric heath care and excellence in the clinical and academic setting. The awardee will receive a $1000 scholarship. 

Criteria: The applicant must be in good academic standing in the graduate program. Any student in a PNP major in an Indiana School of Nursing may apply for the award by submitting the necessary documents. The individual must demonstrate a desire to improve/impact pediatric health care.

Application Process: Submit the following:  A current Curriculum Vitae/Resume. A double-spaced typed narrative describing qualities the applicant demonstrates in support of the award (500 words or less). Two reference letters of support (One of which must be from a faculty member).
