President: Laurie B. Robinson, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, CPNP-PC, PMHNP-BC, CLC

Dr. Robinson is a board-certified family, pediatric and psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner. She is an associate professor and the online graduate program coordinator at Kentucky Christian University, where she develops and teaches graduate nursing coursework. Clinically, she practices with Norton Children’s Medical Group, providing pediatric primary and behavioral health care. She also serves as the advanced practice provider champion for Norton Healthcare, mentoring providers and leading onboarding and clinical innovation initiatives.

President-elect: Audra N. Rankin, DNP, APRN, CPNP

Audra  is a clinical associate professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Nursing. She serves as program director for the Doctor of Nursing Practice program and as associate faculty director for nursing at the UNC Center for the Business of Health at the Kenan-Flagler Business School. She holds certifications as a certified pediatric nurse practitioner, pediatric mental health specialist, certified lactation counselor and certified nurse educator. She is also the national health policy chair for the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.

Immediate Past President and Social Media Chair: Amanda G. Aubrey, APRN, IBCLC

Amanda has always had a passion for pediatrics and began working in pediatric primary care immediately after graduating from the University of Louisville in 2011. While working in a local pediatric office, she recognized the need for lactation support for new mothers and newborns. After several years of study, she became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant in 2017 and opened her own practice, Baby Eyes Lactation Consulting, in 2018. Aubrey is an active member of the Kentucky chapter of NAPNAP and currently serves as past president of the board. In her free time, she enjoys hot yoga, spending time outdoors and being with her family. Her children are competitive eventing riders and stay busy competing in horse shows.

Treasurer: Emily M. McRae, DNP, APRN, CPNP - AC/PC. FCCM

Dr. Emily M. McRae is an advanced practice registered nurse with a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree. She is a certified pediatric nurse practitioner licensed in both acute and primary care. She is a faculty member at the University of Louisville, holding a dual appointment in the schools of medicine and nursing. She serves as specialty track coordinator for the pediatric acute care nurse practitioner program in the School of Nursing. Her clinical practice for more than 17 years has been in the PICU at Norton Children’s Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She is actively engaged with NAPNAP, serving as chair of the Professional Issues Committee. She is also the founding president of the Kentucky chapter of NAPNAP, currently serving as treasurer and as a member of the chapter’s annual conference planning committee.

CE Chair: Debbie L. Farrell

Dr. Farrell began her nursing career in 1988 as a bedside nurse at Norton Children’s Hospital. She earned her master’s degree as a primary care nurse practitioner from Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis in 2006, completed a post-master’s acute care certification at the University of Kentucky in 2016, and received her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Louisville in 2019. She also completed a graduate certificate in health professions education in 2020. She is also an adjunct professor in the acute care nurse practitioner program at the University of Louisville.

Membership Chair: Cynthia L. Bethel-Jaiteh, APRN, CPNP

Dr. Bethel-Hines is an assistant professor and the director of community engagement and inclusion at the University of Louisville School of Nursing. She also practices as a certified pediatric nurse practitioner at Shawnee Christian Healthcare in West Louisville. A Louisville native, she holds degrees from Berea College, the University of Kentucky, and Northern Kentucky University, where she focused her doctoral work on breastfeeding in the African American community. She is a founding member and current president of the Louisville Coalition for Black Maternal Health and past president of KYANNA Black Nurses of Louisville.
