Kathy has been a pediatric nurse practitioner since 2016 and a registered nurse since 2010, graduating from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She currently works at Kapi’olani Medical Center for Pediatric Surgery with an interest in intestinal rehabilitation and trauma. She enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors with her family.

Secretary: Michelle Burns

Michelle is a pediatric nurse practitioner student at Chaminade University and will graduate in December 2026. She was born and raised in Hawaii and works as a school nurse. She earned two bachelor’s degrees, in nursing and in biology human health science, from Hawaii Pacific University. In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach, taking walks and spending time with family and friends.

CE Chair: Scott Ninomiya APRN-Rx, CPNP-PC, RNC, CWOCN

Scott, born and raised in Hawaii. He graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa for his bachelor's and masters in nursing. He has been working as a wound ostomy nurse practitioner at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children for the past 10 years. He enjoys outdoor activities, cooking and spending time with family and friends. 

Membership Chair: Janelle S. Jinbo-Labuguen

Janelle is a family nurse practitioner with experience in various health care settings. She is a member of the military Joint Vaccination Work Group and has worked with the Hawaii Department of Health. She is interested in promoting vaccinations for all ages.
