Pediatric Primary Care Practice –Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

FT position available (40 hours)

Join an interdisciplinary, full service primary care pediatric group dedicated to helping children in our community reach their full potential. This exciting opportunity to become part of an autonomous APP team requires promotion of equitable healthcare of the highest order to pediatric patients and their families. Seeking candidate who understands the economic and social conditions of the Rochester Community that could influence health status and healthcare delivery in underserved areas.

 

Primary responsibilities include:

  • provision of direct patient care for well child visits
  • follow-up of chronic health issues and acute illness visits.
  • care coordination, as well as interfacing with specialty groups and community agencies

 

Strong communication and interpersonal skills required; must be able to respectfully and inclusively navigate discussions cross-culturally with staff, children, and families. Pediatric and trauma informed care experience preferred. Current NYS license and PNP or PA registration required and national certification within 3 months of hire.

Pediatric Cardiac/Cardio-thoracic Float – Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (231529)

FT position, Tier 3 position which include day/evening/night/weekend/holiday coverage rotations.

This is an exciting opportunity to work pediatric cardiac APP group with rotations between the cardiac ICU, ambulatory cardiology, inpatient cardiology, pediatric cardiac catheterization lab, and the pediatric cardio-thoracic surgery team. Patient population includes pediatric patients with medical and cardiothoracic surgical diagnosis. Patients will be of a varied level of acuity (cardiology and cardiac ICU admissions) and elective cardiology admissions and medical management. Responsibilities will include assessment of patients completing H&Ps, daily notes, care coordination, follow up on ECG/Cardiac testing, and patient/family education. Requirements include: NY state licensure as an NP with National Certification within 3 month of appointment or Board Certified PA. Applicant must be motivated, flexible, and independent and possess excellent clinical skills. 1-3 years of pediatric cardiac experience preferred. All interested applicants submit resume to Nursing Recruitment, Box 619-19.
