Lisa Merritt, President 

Dr. Lisa Merritt is certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care, Acute Care, and as
a Pediatric Primary Care Mental Health Specialist. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor and
Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Concentration Coordinator at the University of
Tennessee-Knoxville, College of Nursing. Lisa received a Master of Science in Nursing, along
with her Pediatric Nurse Practitioner credential from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in
2001 and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Saint Louis University in 2015. Her nursing
experience covers a number of specialties, including medically-complex children, pediatric
otolaryngology, and emergency/urgent care. Lisa’s expertise in pediatrics and nursing education
has led to numerous publications in peer-reviewed nursing journals. She also serves as a
reviewer for the Journal of Pediatric Health Care and the Journal for Nurse Practitioners.

DeAnn Wilson, President Elect

DeAnn Wilson is a Board Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She completed the PNP program at University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2011. DeAnn is currently employed full time at Mercy Kids Plastic Surgery where she began practicing in 2012, having worked in this practice as an RN starting in 2004. DeAnn holds current certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in primary care with ANCC. Her professional special interests include cleft lip and palates, craniosynostosis, craniofacial conditions, plagiocephaly, hemangiomas and misshapen ears in the newborn.

Amy Hauch, Treasurer

Amy Campion Hauch, MSN, RN, CPNP-PC is a certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She completed the PNP program at Saint Louis University in 2011. Amy is currently employed full time at Pediatric Healthcare Unlimited in Alton, IL, where she began practicing in 2013.  Prior to that, Amy held a variety of positions at St. Louis Children's Hospital, including staff nurse, Certified Diabetes Educator and Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner.  Amy holds current certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in primary care through PNCB.  Her professional special interests include childhood obesity, and adolescent health.

Allison Palisch, Continuing Education/Programs 

Allison Palisch, MSN, RN, CPNP is a certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She completed the PNP program at UMSL and graduated in 2018. Allison is currently employed full time at St. Louis Children's Hospital where she began practicing in 2018. Prior to that, Allison worked at St. Louis Children's Hospital as a nurse. Allison holds current certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in primary care through PNCB.

Jody Sims, Continuing Education/Programs 

Jody Sims, RN, CPNP is a certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She completed the PNP program at The University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2016. Jody is currently employed full time at St. Louis Children's Hospital in the emergency department, where she began practicing in 2017.  She Is also employed PRN at Mercy Hospital in the JFK pediatric primary care clinic.  Prior to that, Jody worked at St. Louis University in adolescent medicine.   Jody holds current certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in primary care through PNCB.  She is current obtaining her acute care post-masters certificate and DNP through The University of Missouri-St. Louis.  Her professional special interests include working as a Missouri SAFE-CARE provider and precepting nurse practitioner students.

Laura Steiner, Communications/Social Media

Laura Steiner, MSN, RN, CPNP-PC, CLC is a certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and lactation counselor.  She completed the PNP program at Maryville University in Saint Louis in December of 2017.  Laura is currently employed at Gateway Pediatrics, Ltd, where she began practicing in early 2018.   Prior to that, Laura worked at Missouri Baptist Medical Center as an RN in mother/baby and NICU for 8 years.  Laura holds current certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in primary care through PNCB.  Her professional special interests include supporting new moms and babies with breastfeeding as well as gastroenterology.

Jennifer Jacklin, Webmaster

Jennifer Jacklin, MSN, RN, CPNP is a certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.  She completed the PNP program at University of Missouri-St. Louis in August 2004. Jennifer is currently employed full time at Mercy Clinic Pediatrics-Sunset Hills/South City, where she has been practicing since 2006. She also volunteers her time to provide health care to students at a St. Louis public elementary school. Prior to that, Jennifer was an RN at St. Louis Children's Hospital. Jennifer holds current certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in primary care through PNCB. Her professional special interests include educating and caring for immigrant and low-income children and families.
