The Greater Texas Chapter of NAPNAP (GTX-NAPNAP) is a professional organization of pediatric nurse practitioners (PNPs) who work across Texas, excluding Austin, Houston, the South Alamo region, and the Southwest region. PNPs provide care from birth to age 21 in various settings, including hospitals, emergency rooms, intensive care units, private offices, and clinics, offering primary, specialty, and intensive care for children statewide.

The mission of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners is to promote optimal child health through leadership, practice, advocacy, education, and research.

The purpose of the Greater Texas Chapter of NAPNAP is to:
  • Promote and advocate for national NAPNAP initiatives in the greater Texas area.
  • Develop and offer continuing education programs for healthcare providers, with a focus on pediatrics.
  • Support and enhance state and local programs to improve the quality of pediatric healthcare.
  • The Greater Texas chapter of NAPNAP holds quarterly educational dinner meetings and supports local agencies providing care to children and families in need. Advocacy and outreach are conducted through the chapter's Facebook page, member email communications, meeting updates, and the advocacy section of the website.
