Chapter President: Jillian Longway, DNP, ARNP, PMHS, CPNP-PC

Dr. Longway is originally from Chattanooga TN, but now calls Tacoma, WA home. She received her MSN-PNP in Primary Care from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, and DNP-Executive from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD. She is currently employed at Pediatrics Northwest - Mary Bridge Children's in Tacoma, WA. Her clinical interests include pediatric mental health, health equity, and billing & coding! Outside of work, she enjoys powerlifting, hiking with her two rescue dogs (Sunny and Shea) and husband, and anything related to food. 

Past President: Icel Sullivan, DNP, ARNP, CPNP-PC

Dr. Sullivan attended the University of Washington, Seattle, WA for both her BSN and DNP. She currently works at Kadlec Regional Medical Center as a Pediatric hospitalist for the Neonatology Services as well as High Risk Infant Follow-up Clinic in Richland, WA. Her clinical interests include newborn care and high risk infant follow up. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, skiing, and traveling with her husband. She also enjoys spending time with her three young adult children when their busy schedules allow. 

President-Elect: Lauren Hesser, ARNP, CPNP-AC

Lauren Hesser has been a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner since 2013. She earned both her BSN and Master's degree from Duke University. Prior to becoming a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Lauren worked as a bedside nursing in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unity at Duke. After completing her CPNP-AC, she joined Texas Children's Hospital where she practiced in the Critical Care Department. She later relocated to California's Central Coast, serving as a primary care Pediatric NP while also working as a Nurse Educator in the neonatal department. 

Lauren and her family moved to Eastern Washington in 2017 where she continued practicing in pediatric primary care until 2022. Since then, she has focused on caring for her children and supporting their health and education needs while remaining actively engaged in the profession. Her special interests include child passenger safety. Lauren is one of the few pediatric providers in the U.S. who holds the Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) credential. 

Outside of healthcare, Lauren is deeply involved in community service through Junior League of Spokane, where she currently serves as President. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, camping, and exploring the PNW with her family. 

Treasurer: Simeng Wang, DNP, ARNP, CPNP-PC

Dr. Simeng Wang received her DNP at the University of Washington. She currently works for Allegro Pediatrics on the Newborn rounding team at Evergreen Hospital. Her clinical interests include newborn care and lactation education. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and listening to true crime podcasts. 

Continuing Education Co-Chair: Whitney-Hugie DNP, FNP

Dr. Hugie received her BSN from Southern Utah University and after working in pediatric hematology/oncology as well as transplant, she moved to Seattle and received her FNP degree from University of Washington in 2020. After briefly returning back to Salt Lake City to work in Pediatric Infectious Disease, she returned back to Seattle in 2023 to work in pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplant at Seattle Children's Hospital, where she continues to practice. Dr. Hugie is passionate about staying up to date with evidenced-based care and continuing education. 

Continuing Education Co-Chair: Larson Reed-Todd, DNP, ARNP, CPNP-PC

Dr. Reed-Todd received her BSN from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia and her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Pediatric Primary Care from the University of Washington in Seattle. She currently works as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with Optum Pediatrics in Everett, WA, providing primary care to infants, children, and adolescents. Her professional interests include preventive medicine, community health promotion, and the clinical education of future Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. She has served as a clinical preceptor to Pediatric Nurse Practitioner students from both the University of Washington and Emory University and has taught in the UW School of Nursing pediatric nursing program. Outside of work, Larson enjoys camping, beach volleyball, live music, reading, and spending time with her family. 

Continuing Education Committee Member: Sarah Agtarap, DNP, ARNP, CPNP-PC

Dr. Agtarap received her BSN in Nursing and Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Primary Care from the University of WA School of Nursing, Seattle, WA. Sarah currently works at UW School of Nursing as Director of PNP Acute Care and Primary Care Program and in the ER at Seattle Children’s Hospital. 

Secretary & Membership Chair: Corrin Brockschmidt, DNP, CPNP-AC

Dr. Brockschmidt recently moved to Washington state from St. Louis, Missouri. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and is a new graduate Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Corrin brings more than a decade of experience in pediatric nursing, including critical care, outpatient pediatrics, and nursing education. When she is not working, Corrin enjoys reading, hiking, photography, and spending time outdoors with her two dogs. 

Legislative Co-Chair: Robyn Evans, MSN, ARNP, FNP-C

Ms. Evans received her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from University of CA at Davis, CA, and her MSN Nursing FNP from Yale University, New Haven, CT. She is currently working at Seattle Children's Hospital in Adolescent Medicine and Nursing Faculty on the Leadership Education in Adolescent Health Training Grant at University of WA, Seattle, WA. She is celebrating her 25th year in practice! Outside of work, she loves nordic skiing, hiking, backpacking, and watching NBA games with her teenage son. 

Legislative Co-Chair: Rachel VanDeMark, DNP, MHA, ARNP, CPNP-PC

Dr. VanDeMark received her BA in Psychology from University of Vermont in Burlington, VT. She went on to receive her BSN, Master of Healthcare Administration, and Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. She is currently working as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in Olympia, WA. 

Communication Chair: Maria Brnjic, MSN, CPNP-PC

Ms. Brnjic is a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with more than 14 years of healthcare experience. She earned her Bachelor's of Science in Respiratory therapy prior to beginning her nursing career and eventually went on to earn her Master's of Science in Nursing from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Maria began her career in Yakima, WA where she practiced in pediatric primary care serving the diverse population in Eastern Washington. She eventually made her way to the western side of Washington and currently works in the pre-anesthesia clinic at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Outside of work, Maria is an avid reader, runner, hiker and enjoys going on adventures with her dog who she rescued from the Yakima Humane Society.
