Minnesota APRN Coalition

House and Senate bills have been introduced at the Legislature. The House bill is H.F. 435 and is being authored by Rep. Dan Schoen. Co-sponsors are Reps. Abler, Fritz, E. Murphy, and Zerwas. Our Senate bill is S.F. 511 and chief author is Sen. Kathy Sheran. Senate co-sponsors are Sens. Kiffmeyer, Eaton, Marty, and Hayden. We have been working with our lobby team and have already had many meetings with key health committee representatives and chairs.

We are embarking on an exciting petition drive to obtain as many signatures as possible of Minnesota citizens who support our bill. In particular, we’d like many signatures from consumers, physicians, and other health professionals. We need EVERYONE to work on obtaining signatures so we can bring thousands of signatures to the legislature in support of this bill.

Petition Drive Directions:

Please
click here to download and print paper copies of our petition.

Please gather as many signatures as possible from consumers, physician colleagues, other health professionals, as well as LPNs, RNs, and APRNs. People should be at least 18 year of age.

IF possible, scan and make a PDF copy of your pages and email them to Mary Chesney @
chesn009@umn.edu OR fax them ATTN: Mary Chesney @ 612-626-6606.

In particular, we’d like to garner as many signatures from physicians who support us as possible to offset the organized medical association’s arguments at the Capitol.

Thank you for your support and efforts toward our petition drive.
