The KySS Fellowship Program is offered in collaboration with the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and the NAPNAP Foundation. It is an online self-paced faculty mentored program in collaboration with Arizona State College of Nursing. A  conference sponsored by the SADS Foundation, Primary Childrens Medical Center, Intermountain Healthcare and the University of Utah. It is scheduled for Oct. 12-14, 2012 at the University Park Marriott. This conference is designed to update your knowledge base regarding sudden death in young children, teenagers and young adults from cardiac arrythmias. Topics will include what medications to recommend in treatment of ADHD and asthma, exercise, screening, genetics, research etc. to register or for further information go to www.SADS.org/Conference-2012

The annual Pediatric Conference will be held September 20 -21 at Shriners Childrens Hospital. Check the newsletter for a list of pediatric concerns that will be addressed.

The Utah Chapter of the AAP is offering NP's and PA's associated with pediatric concerns to join the state chapter for an annual fee of $75. Membership will give access to their newsletters, CE offerings and a discount on the annual Common Problems in Pediatrics Conference. This is a great opportunity to partner with other pediatric healthcare providers on many levels such as legislative issues, continuing education and joining coalitions such as the Utah Tobacco Prevention Task Force.
