President: Pam Marsh, DNP, RN, PPCNP-BC

Dr. Marsh has a strong background in pediatric health care, having worked as a pediatric nurse practitioner and having extensive experience in hematology/oncology and endocrinology at Valley Children's Healthcare. She currently serves as the co-chief nurse practitioner at Valley Children's, highlighting her leadership in the field. In addition, she is an associate professor at National University. She holds several board positions in the San Joaquin chapter of professional organizations, including serving as president and legislative chair. She has also participated in Capitol Hill Day, advocating for key health care issues. Outside of work, Dr. Marsh enjoys traveling, skiing, and spending time with her two children and two Australian shepherds.

President-Elect: Minal Patel

Minal was born in India and raised in Zambia. She came to the U.S. in 2000 and earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Western Michigan University. She worked at Valley Children’s Hospital for more than 10 years in various roles, including floor nurse, relief charge nurse, home care nurse and oncology nurse. Her extensive training, education and experience led her to pursue further education. She earned her MSN from Western Governors University and later became a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at Fresno State. Minal now works as a pediatric nurse practitioner with Clovis Pediatric Group. A few years ago, she earned her Doctor of Nursing degree to expand her ability to practice independently in the future. In her spare time, she enjoys crafting and spending time with her husband and three children. Her family continues to encourage and motivate her to always do her best.

Treasurer: Cassandra Anderson

Cassandra is a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner and asthma educator who works at Valley Children’s Hospital in the Pulmonology clinic. She earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from California State University, Fresno, and has taught as an adjunct professor at CSUF and National University. She specializes in asthma management and education and is also beginning to focus on the care of patients with cystic fibrosis. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, being outdoors—whether running or relaxing—and spending time with her husband and three sons.

Secretary: Kelly Folmer, MSN, CPNP-PC

 
Kelly is a pediatric nurse practitioner specializing in oncology and currently serves as the co-chief nurse practitioner at Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera, California. With a career centered on compassionate pediatric care, Folmer is deeply committed to improving children’s well-being and supporting her colleagues in their roles. She earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from Fresno State University and is pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of Alabama. She is passionate about advancing pediatric nursing and has made significant contributions to developing best practices and improving patient care. Outside of work, Folmer is a mother of three who enjoys skiing and hiking with her family. Her dedication to her profession and community shines through in her support of colleagues and her unwavering commitment to her patients.

Social Media Chair: Lauren Perry, CPNP

I was born and raised in Central California. I attended Fresno State for my bachelor’s and master’s degrees. I have worked at Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera, California, since 2011. I currently work with Dr. Galvez in the Hand and Plastic Surgery division, caring for children with complex congenital hand differences and trauma. Most importantly, I am a wife and mother of three.

Membership Chair: Lauren Bradley, MSN

Lauren has been a neurology nurse practitioner at Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera since 2016. She helped establish the hospital's Level IV Epilepsy Center. While she practices general neurology, she specializes in epilepsy management and surgery. When she's not in the office, she enjoys spending time outdoors. She attended undergraduate school at UC Santa Cruz and UC Santa Barbara and graduated from the Yale GEPN program in 2015.

CE Chair: Jenna Kuipers, RN

Jenna began her career as a registered nurse at Valley Children’s Hospital in 2010. She became a pediatric nurse practitioner in 2015 in the pediatric surgery and trauma department. She currently specializes in gastroenterology, with a focus on inflammatory bowel disease. Jenna earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from California State University, Fresno. Jenna is a published contributor to the nurse practitioner textbook Pediatrics: A Primary Care Approach. She is passionate about teaching fellow nurses and colleagues about gastrostomy tubes. In her free time, Jenna enjoys walking her dog, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
