Job Title: Clinical Administrator/Nurse Manager

Position: Full Time

General Description: Busy primary care practice in the Boston area seeks a dedicated Pediatric Registered Nurse or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with management experience to lead and support our clinical team as a Clinical Administrator. This team member will manage the daily clinical operations and oversee employee orientation and training. The Clinical Administrator will also be responsible for leading our clinical team’s coordination of our patients’ care, including preventative care and health maintenance. This candidate should be passionate about providing patient–centered care and should be willing to make quality improvements to best serve their pediatric patients.

Summary of Duties:
Works collaboratively with the rest of the practice’s staff to provide coordinated healthcare
Engages in various educational and professional development trainings to enhance their ability to provide effective, efficient and quality care
Is responsible for interviewing, hiring and onboarding nurses and other medical staff
Oversees scheduling of clinical staff
Evaluates the performance of staff nurses and medical assistants through feedback and mentoring programs to ensure efficient operations
Oversees on-site clinical laboratory (CLIA waived testing)
Is responsible for other administrative duties, including, developing departmental budgets and maintaining inventory of medical supplies, etc.
For Nurse Practitioners with interest in direct patient care, this position could include opportunities for direct patient care.

Minimum Qualifications:
Is a certified Registered Nurse or Master’s prepared nurse/ OR Nurse Practitioner
Has administrative training and/or experience
Has a minimum of 3 years of experience in a pediatric clinical setting
Has exemplary leadership and management skills
Has experience with EHR (electronic health records) and an overall comfortability with computers and health – related softwares
Has experience with and is comfortable working on a team
Is passionate about working directly with pediatric patients and their families

Preferred Qualifications:
Has experience with the EMR system Epic
