MINAPNAP Legislative News

Advocacy Day on October 2, 2013 was very informative. Here are some tips we learned about building relationships with our legislators:
1. Meet 5 times a year with your legislator
2. Attend a candidate open house
3. Donate to a campaign if you like the candidate
4. Write a note regarding meeting with a legislator/candidate and regarding things that they are doing
5. Get in touch with them when health care bills come up
6. Clip articles and send to them from other states to keep them informed about what is happening elsewhere
7. Help fund MICNP and PAC because the lobbyist is working hard to build relationships also for us

Next year's Advocacy Day will be held Wednesday, October 1, 2014. We hope to see you there!
