Annual Continuing Education Activities

Each year the GNY Chapter Board members work together to plan one-hour Peer Reviews that are presented 4 times each year on a variety of topics and one All Day conference, called Pediatric Potpourri, which is presented in the Spring each year. As a benefit for membership, GNY Chapter members can attend all of the 4 Peer Reviews without additional cost and receive CE credit. Each year, there is a charge for the All-Day conference to cover conference expenses. The Peer Reviews and the All-Day conference are always well attended and we receive positive feedback from members about each of the offerings. Those who attend and complete the evaluation form receive 1 CE credit from NAPNAP for a one-hour Peer Review and up to 6 CEs for the All-Day conference. Every 3 years, we re-apply for certification from NAPNAP to maintain the chapter as a continuing education provider to offer CEs for each 1-hour program.

Virtual Peer Reviews and our All-Day Conference

Since March 2020, we have been offering the Peer Reviews virtually and in 2021, we will also offer the All-Day conference virtually. We have had timely topics, including Peer Review meetings on COVID-19, mindfulness training, pharmacology including immunization updates, and NP policy updates, as well as many other topics relevant to the stresses of managing practices and care during this pandemic.

Let us know what topics you would like to enhance your Continuing Education

We welcome your input into topics of interest for Peer Reviews and ask for suggested topics on each Peer Review evaluation form. We usually survey members every two years to identify topics of interest for Peer Reviews and our All-Day conference.

Stay Well and Safe….And let’s hope that we can transition from Virtual to In-Person in 2022!
