Stop Child Trafficking in Your Community: Become an ACT Advocate
The PEC SIG would like to designate and sponsor a SIG member to attend the Stop Child Trafficking in Your Community: Become an ACT Advocate intensive workshop on March 9 during the 40th National Conference on Pediatric Health Care. This life-saving, innovative workshop ($50, 2.5 CEs) is specifically developed for pediatric-focused NPs to learn about child trafficking, methods of identification and referral and prevention. ACT Advocates will receive a certificate of recognition as a trained expert who will then be able to deliver this unique content to healthcare professionals and lay people in your community. ACT Advocates will receive ongoing support, presentation materials and opportunities to teach locally. ACT Advocates also will bring much-needed awareness of the value of pediatric-focused nurse practitioners.
If you are interested in attending this important training please submit a written request for support, including a brief outline of your specific interest in completing the training and how you intend to utilize this training within your practice to koepke@email.chop.edu by February 1, 2019.
