President

Katherine Rossiter, EJD, MSN, APRN-NP, CPNP, CDE

Katherine has been a pediatric nurse for over 30 years and a PNP for 10 years.  She earned her Executive Juris Doctor with a concentration in Health Law, graduating with honors. Her special interests include pediatric endocrinology, biomedical ehtics, advanced practice issues, health care advocacy, medical-legal consulting, and health policy.

President Elect

Meghan Pothoff, APRN-NP

Meghan Potthoff has been an acute care PNP for 5 years. She worked for 1 year as an NP in the PICU at The Nebraska Medical Center. Since leaving there, she has been a full time faculty member at Creighton University and serves as the program coordinator for the Pediatric Acute Care PNP program.  She continues to work one day a week as an NP at Children's Hospital and Medical Center with the PICC team and Hospitalist Service.

Peggy Pelish, PhD, APRN, BC, FNP, PNP

Peggy has been a pediatric nurse for over 30 years and has been a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner since 1995.  Her PhD is in Family Sociology. She is the Program Director of a Primary PNP graduate program. Areas of  interest are pediatric self-esteem and immunizations.  She has been a NAPNAP member since 1995.   E-mail at ppelish@unmc.edu

Jacqueline Hanks, APRN-NP

Jacquie Hanks recently started as the inpatient Pulmonary Medicine nurse practitioner at Children’s Hospital.  Prior to that, she was with the Division of Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Hematopoetic Stem Cell Transplant at the University of Nebraska Medical Center for 5 years.   She has also worked in pediatric nursing and pediatric oncology nursing in Omaha and St Louis, and spent time teaching at Creighton University.  She received her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Missouri, St Louis, and is certified as an acute and primary care pediatric nurse practitioner.

Past President

Jessica Wollberg, MSN, APRN-NP, CPNP

Jessica has been in pediatric nursing since completion of her BSN in 1998. She completed her pediatric nurse practitioner degree in 2007.  She has worked an a PNP in the inpatient setting, working closely with the hospitalist team and placing PICC lines. Her areas of interest are vascular access and care of the hospitalized child.
