MISSION STATEMENT

We are the Long Island, New York Chapter of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP), an association of pediatric focused nurses in advanced practice,
whose mission is to promote the health and wellness of
Long Island’s infants, children, adolescents and young adults
through
, practice, advocacy, education and outreach.

 

GOALS

 Promote and foster the objectives and purposes of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.

  • Encourage and support nurse practitioners and advanced practice nursing students through scholarship, leadership and mentorship.

  • Provide leadership at the local level to promote professional development and respond to the needs of our membership. 

  • Provide opportunities for continuing education programs to promote evidence-based practice.

  • Facilitate a proactive voice and representation in legislative and health policy issues affecting the health of children and nurse practitioner scope of practice.

  • Promote collaboration with other professional nursing and health care organizations to address critical practice issues.

  • Promote the health and well-being of children, families and communities through outreach effort.
