Pandemic 2020: Caring for Our Frontline Caregivers, Volunteers, Families

Dear LINAPNAP member,

We hope this correspondence finds you and your loved ones safe and well. Our thoughts and wishes are with each and every one of you during these unprecedented and unstable times.

We are contacting with you to bridge the connection to all our members at LINAPNAP and beyond. With the pandemic of COVID-19 and its unrelenting presence, we are all feeling drained; weak in mind, body and spirit; and at times feeling helpless and hopeless. We, at LINAPNAP, are here for you and want you to know you are not alone.
As a membership and as a profession, we are unified in serving our patients on a daily basis. Even when we are not at work, we are still thinking about our patients, reading the literature to expand our knowledge as evidence-based practicing healthcare professionals, and even taking a moment to pause so that we may have mental clarity to practice effectively on our next shift. We are nurses and we have stories. Stories that are inspirational, informative, and healing, which is why we are asking you to participate in our Ray of Hope: Sharing Stories to Unify.

2020 is the Year of the Nurse. We are facing challenges like none other seen in our lifetime. Working in the midst of a global pandemic makes Ray of Hope: Sharing Stories to Unify even more important. Stories can be healing, and we benefit from not only reading stories, but from reading our own story. Every story shared is a chance to make someone feel connected, less alone, and empowered. Words have power and YOUR words can provide power to those who are feeling powerless and lost.
Help us so we can share your story. We will be posting stories on our social media sites starting next week to kick off Nurse’s Week through the next few months.
Get your words out there and help a colleague who needs to hear them.

Please click the following link to share your story. Neither your identity, nor your place of employment, will be known as there are no retained data or identifiers.
Happy Nurse’s Week and THANK YOU!
