About Us

Welcome to the Greater Kansas City Chapter of NAPNAP

The Greater Kansas City Chapter of NAPNAP was established in 1990 to support a growing number of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Advanced Practice Nurses in the communities within and surrounding the Kansas City Metropolitan area. In addition to promoting the goals and objectives of NAPNAP, our chapter serves as a resource to healthcare providers and the community to foster programs focused on improving the quality of health care for infants, children, adolescents and young adults.

Our chapter goals include:
  1. Supporting the role of advanced practice nurses

  2. Providing quality education with continuing education credit for advanced practice nurses in our area

  3. Providing community education about the value of the role of the pediatric nurse practitioner (PNP)

  4. Involvement in community programs that work to improve the health care of children in our region

  5. Providing leadership for PNPs who deliver primary and acute care in a variety of settings

  6. Promoting collaboration between PNPs and other healthcare professionals
