I was born in Michigan and later moved to Columbus, Indiana. I have lived in many great places, including San Francisco and Honolulu, however I consider Chicago to be my home. I worked as an Emergency Room nurse after graduating from Indiana University School of Nursing. I continued my education, earning both Master of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing in Pediatrics degrees from Rush University. I have specials interests in child safety and parent/patient education. My husband is a cartoonist and toy designer. We have 2 children. In my spare time, I enjoy competitive running, tennis, travel, volunteering at school, and being a swim mom.
As founder and owner of The Baby Squad, LLC, I educate new and expectant parents in the care and safety of children.
