Fall 2014 Charitable Donation Recipient

Fighting Childhood Obesity through the Tennis Alliance in Anne Arundel County

 

The goals of the program are:  

To introduce tennis as a sport for life-fun, fitness and friendships and enhancing quality of life.

To get children more active and enjoying physical activities that they can maintain throughout their life as part of a healthy lifestyle.

To reinforce a nutritional/health message at the end of every tennis session.

The approximate costs for providing this type of programming are roughly $500-600 for approximately 4 hour sessions. This includes equipment (provided for free), tennis professional/fitness professional and consultation, courts, administrative fees, documenting, nutritional materials.
