Scholarships and Awards

Congratulations to Gwyn Reece CPNP of Annapolis Pediatrics, she is our winner for the 2014 Preceptor Award!

Have you had an outstanding preceptor that you would like the MD Chesapeake Chapter of NAPNAP to recognize?  Help us say thank you to those nurse practitioners who give their time and effort to help enrich the experience of NP students!

Please submit a brief statement describing why you feel that your preceptor is deserving of the 2015 Preceptor Award. Explain how your instructor exemplifies the ideals central to the role of the pediatric nurse practitioner. The nominee should demonstrate expert clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis and management, should strongly advocate for his or her patients, and should place strong emphasis on patient education. Explain how your preceptor uses evidence based practice to guide his or her decisions and how this influences the learning process. Describe the ability of the individual to educate and mentor PNP students, and how that clinical experience will affect your future practice as a PNP.

Please include your name, school of nursing, expected graduation date and your email and mailing addresses with your statement.

Please email your statement to Adrienne Harmel at aripk001@gmail.com no later than April 30, 2015.

The winner will be announced at our 2015 Spring Conference.
