Our Legislative Efforts in General:
Two members are serving as co-Legislative Chairpersons
for our Chesapeake Chapter: Adele Foerster and Linda Murray. Linda is a
former Nurse in Washington Internship (NIWI) participant, and Adele is
former Maryland Chesapeake Chapter President and interested in learning
more about the legislative process and being a more informed citizen and
PNP.
Adele and Linda regularly participate in national NAPNAP
monthly Health Policy conference calls. The NAPNAP lobbyist and Health
Policy officers discuss important legislation and planned actions.
Your Maryland Chesapeake Chapter of NAPNAP supports and
contributes to the Nurse Practitioner Association of Maryland (NPAM)
lobbying and legislative efforts on behalf of all nurse practitioners in
our state.
Periodically you will be forwarded pertinent legislative
information to provide current updates or ask you to take action. We
ask that you review this information and participate!
