The Iowa chapter of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP), is a professional organization for advanced practice registered nurses who focus on providing healthcare to children and families across various settings. The chapter advocates for the advancement of advanced practice nursing through leadership initiatives, legislative efforts, ongoing education and professional networking.
 
Established in 1975, the Iowa chapter of NAPNAP aims to enhance the quality of health care for patients and families by supporting nurse practitioners in their professional development. The organization emphasizes the importance of continuous professional growth to maintain competent practice. To achieve this objective, the Iowa chapter offers continuing education programs, fosters collaboration with other entities through networking, and actively supports relevant legislation affecting the nurse practitioner profession.
 
Membership in the Iowa Chapter of NAPNAP is open to all nurse practitioners, including those specializing in pediatric primary care, pediatric acute care, family care, psych/mental health, and nurse practitioner students.
