Laura is an Arizona native who became a registered nurse in 2003.  She worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital on the pediatric floor and the pediatric intensive care unit until she graduated in 2008 from Arizona State University with her Master of Science in Nursing as a Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. **And on a funny note Laura has been on Animal Planet for her passion and dedication to exotic and endangered animals. She owns a Brushtail Bettong by the name of Tucker which is the world’s smallest marsupial and the species is nearly extinct.  She volunteers with several organizations to raise awareness regarding Arizona native animals as well as endangered species. And she finds fire hydrants very interesting.

Secretary

Danielle Sebbens began her career in nursing in 1994 after graduation from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  She has worked in multiple pediatric settings during her nursing career ranging from outpatient private practice to Pediatric Critical Care.  After graduation from the University of Pittsburgh with a Master’s of Science in Nursing  in 2000 she began working as a pediatric nurse practitioner in the Pediatric Gastroenterology Department at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. In 2007 she began working for Intestinal Care and Rehabilitation, a center of excellence within the pediatric gastroenterology department.

In December 2009 she completed a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at Robert Morris University.  She was motivated to continue her education in order to provide the highest quality care to her patients and families.  In order to achieve this goal it was essential that she meet the educational standard for her acute care role.  Therefore, in June 2011 she completed a Post Master’s Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Certification Program at Rush University in Chicago.

In October of 2011, after many long winters in Pittsburgh, Danielle, her husband Ed and their dog Mickey relocated to sunny Phoenix. She is enjoying her role as a nurse practitioner in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Phoenix Children's Hospital and her role as a Faculty Associate at ASU. Danielle's professional goals include continuing her role as a clinician and providing quality care, education and advocacy for patients and their families.
