I. Meeting Food

   -Order less quantity

   -Consider coffee/tea service, maybe with cookies or fruit

II. Social Committee

    -Shannan + other members interested

    -Social dinner is at 7 pm-ish

III. Mentoring Idea

    -mentorship component to SIG

    -matching system

    -how to incorporate into SIG?

    -questionnaire to new membership (mentees) vs. also for mentors

    -who to organize (SIG board vs. mentoring committee)

    -keep it loose

    -have the SIG as the matchmaker

    -use the mentoring program as a marketing tool

IV. Milestones Autism Resources Partnership

     -conference 6/11-6/12/20 in Cleveland, OH

     -Call for Abstracts open 11/7-1/15

     -SIG volunteer Lorrie Stewart Torres is coordinating a submission on behalf of our SIG 

     -Makenzie also soliciting other interested potential speakers (SIG members)

     -Makenzie to find out from Leslie Rotsky if Milestones would reimburse conf fee, airfare, and/or hotel accommodations for accepted speakers

    -Consider SIG supporting speaker financially-suggestion was a $500 amount (no opposition voiced from attendees)

Other:

Autism Diagnosis Advocacy (Sallie Porter)-SIG could develop a resource of competencies we believe essential for being able to diagnose ASD.
